Surpayer is conjugated the same way that verbs that end in : -ayer. Verbs ending in -yer may transform the stem letter « y » in « i » before a silent endings.
For verbs ending in -ayer, may be conjugated either by turning the « y » into an « i », or by keeping the y and using the exact same conjugation.

Always in interrogative form, and always for sound reasons, an accent appears in first person present indicative tense when the verb ends with « e ». An euphonious « e » is replaced by « é »: « surpayé-je ? ».
Finally, the interrogative form does not exist in subjunctive and imperative.

SURPAYER : v. tr. Payer au-delà de la juste valeur. Cette étoffe ne vaut pas davantage, c'est la surpayer que d'en donner tant.
Il se dit aussi en parlant des Personnes et signifie Leur payer au-delà de ce qui leur est dû. Je ne vous donnerai rien en plus, le vous ai surpayé. Il est peu usité dans les deux sens.
