Il signifie particulièrement Ne vouloir ou ne pouvoir pas faire plus que ce qu'on a fait, en demeurer là. Contentez-vous de la démarche que vous avez faite. Vous devriez vous contenter de lui avoir ôté son bien, sans en vouloir à son honneur. Contentez-vous de m'avoir trompé une fois. Ne vous contentez pas d'y aller une fois, retournez-y jusqu'à ce que vous le trouviez.
